Heavy chains cling fast
Taut against move holds
Waves lapping, flow on
Rise and fall timely flux
.
Trees dripping to shore
Reflecting o’er sea view
Colours change, seasons pass
Empty deck stays unwalked
.
Seagulls screaming do fly
Nest and whiten below
Paint chips, blisters, cracks
Weather changing her face
.
Others power past ports
By wind and by thrust
No eyes cast her way
Ignored in beauty bay
.
Weed now is grown in
Hull barnacled cover
Rig lifted for scrap
Late night ripped away
.
End will not come
Just lying in Fal
Name paper deep filed
Forgot like the hulk
