The Light of Asteria: Kailmeyra's Last Hope (Kailmeyra, #1)The Light of Asteria: Kailmeyra’s Last Hope by Elizabeth Isaacs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A worthwhile fantasy read which weaves the romance between Gavin and Nora with some excellent world-building. I can never resist a book which features a portal to another world (either reading one, or writing one!) and The Light of Asteria did not disappoint.

The book is saturated with the power of love, and addresses the crucial role of forgiveness. The importance of intention is also cleverly knitted into the storyline. As a lightworker, these are all things I try to work with daily, so for that reason alone the book was a good fit for me.

The energy circle between Gavin and Nora is a great representation of how people give and take subtle energy (even though most people are not aware of the flows). I also liked the way the author created energy links between Nora and the natural world.

All in all, a pretty good read.
